Join us for our opening night festival concert – a celebration of Cuban heritage!

From Moises Simon and Benny Moré to the orchestral world premiere of Ernesto Lecuona's Rumba-Rhapsody and the orchestral arrangement of the Cuban National Anthem co-produced by 19-time GRAMMY Award winner Emilio Estefan and the FIU School of Music in partnership with CasaCuba, get ready for an evening filled with the classical and unmistakable rhythms of Cuba! 

The evening will include performances by the leading authority and interpreter of the music of Ernesto Lecuona, pianist Tomas Y. Tirino, the FIU Symphony Orchestra, the FIU Concert Choir, Encantus Voices, and the Miami Children’s Chorus.


One of the Evening's Highlights, but more surprises to come!

  • ORCHESTRAL WORLD PREMIERE of Ernesto Lecuona's Rumba-Rhapsody. Performed by the Conductor Javier Jose Mendoza, Pianist Tomas Y. Tirino, the FIU Symphony Orchestra, and the FIU Concert Choir.
  • ORCHESTRAL ARRANGEMENT OF THE CUBAN NATIONAL ANTHEM -Co-produced by the 19-time GRAMMY Award winner EMILIO ESTEFAN and the FIU School of Music in partnership with CasaCuba at FIU.
